Q: What does horse riding include and what is the price?

We charge 750 NOK per hour per horse. The rides are about one to three hours long including the time to saddle-up, groom, and saddle-down each horse. Winter rides include headlamps and searching for northern lights. Daylight rides can be on our riding track, in the forest, or on the fjord beach. Experience is not necessary because you will always have a guide with you and Icelandic horses are kind, calm and friendly companions.

Q: What can you do about food?

When staying in one of the apartments cooking food is easy in the full kitchen's provided. There is an option to buy some of our farm's organic eggs for your own use if you desire. You also have the option of dining in our restaurant on the farm, only on request see more about our restaurant here . For breakfast we offer a delicious breakfast basket with homemade sourdough bread, homemade marmelade and a selection of cheese and our organic eggs.

Q: What is the apartment like?

Q: How do you get to Nordre Hestnes Gård?

There are three main options for traveling to our farm which is about one hour from the city of Tromsø. It is easily accessible by car and we have plenty of free parking spaces. The public bus number 100 also runs from Tromsø. We can help you arrange correct bus times and then pick you up from the closest bus stop. The third option is to arrange for us to pick you up and drop you off in Tromsø. Our van can hold eight passengers and their luggage. Price for pick up and drop off in Tromsø airport is 2000 NOK included a small stop on the grocery store on the way to the farm.
